Privacy

Find My 3 stores your saved restaurant identifiers, manually entered restaurant information, visit ratings, personal rankings, and optional profile name/photo. Records are associated with your verified email account in the app database.

Supabase handles email verification, password hashing and authentication. Your email is your login ID; your chosen username is used for friend discovery. Passwords are sent securely to Supabase through our server and are never saved in restaurant records or browser storage. Resend delivers verification and password-reset emails and processes recipient addresses and delivery information. Your email is not shown to friends. Restaurant records are stored privately in Cloudflare D1; your email is not copied into those restaurant records. Open and click tracking are disabled for authentication emails.

Restaurant searches and selected restaurant identifiers are sent through our server to Google Maps Platform to retrieve current information. Your personal visit ratings are not sent to Google. Google processes requests under its Privacy Policy.

Google restaurant details are fetched as needed for display; the app stores the Google place identifier, rather than a permanent copy of those details. The Places API key stays on the server. The separate map browser key is restricted to this app’s website. Location permission is optional and is used by the map to centre the view. The app does not store your current device location.

Restaurant photos are requested from Google only when viewed, with photographer credit and links to the original photo. The app does not save Google photo references or image files in your profile or database. Your browser contacts Google to display photos and photographer avatars, so Google receives those image requests.

You can remove a restaurant from Your places using Delete, or remove your profile photo in Edit profile. If you turn on friend sharing, accepted friends can see your profile, Definitely and Depends visits, ratings and Top 3. Saved-only places and Probably not ratings are private. Friends’ shared recommendations and overlapping restaurant ratings influence Find My 3. Trust choices are private and do not produce public popularity scores. You can skip username setup during your first visit; this choice is saved to your account. You can choose or edit your username later in Edit profile. You can choose a unique username and allow signed-in users to find it through username search. Search results show only usernames and your own connection status, never emails, restaurant history or trust choices. You can turn off username discovery at any time. Email invitations open your own email app and are sent only when you choose to send them. You can pause recommendation sharing, decline requests or remove a friend in Your Food Circle. Removing a friend stops subsequent shared profile reads and recommendations. The beta has no advertising or friend messaging.
